The DePaul Journal for Social Justice is still accepting submissions for our January publication. Our journal covers social justice, human rights, and women and gender in the law topics. Our majority queer + woman-led staff wants to hear from you!

Here is a brief overview of our submission guidelines:

The DePaul Journal for Social Justice (“Journal”) promotes discussion of social justice, including legal and policy analysis, and encourages submissions of interdisciplinary work. The discussions involve legal professionals, including community-based leaders, academics and students. Though the journal uses a traditional law review framework, it also explores alternative and non- conventional types of publication and expands content options to broaden access and better engage readers. In the past, our Journal has reviewed and considered speeches, essays, legal notes, and book reviews for publication.

Page Length
The DePaul Journal for Social Justice prefers articles between 10,000 and 25,000 words in length (including footnotes). Work shorter than 10,000 words or exceeding 35,000 words may be considered for publication in certain circumstances.
How to Submit
The DePaul Journal for Social Justice strongly encourages authors to submit articles directly to socjustjournal@depaul.edu.
Citation Format
Please use footnotes rather than endnotes. Footnotes should conform to the 20th edition of the Bluebook.
Offer of Publication
The Articles Selection Editor will contact you by email with an offer of publication. Once you accept the offer, we expect you to withdraw all other submissions. Our acceptance of your article is contingent upon your agreement to tailor your article to the
reasonable standards (both substantive and technical) of the Journal and cooperate with our Editors in producing a final product, including meeting all deadlines and providing necessary source and citation material.

I tried to submit to your Journal, but it is shown as "closed" on Scholastica. What should I do?
