Dear Authors,
The California Western Law Review is looking for legal scholars and professionals to speak at our Spring 2026 Symposium, The Rule of Law: A Global Examination of Government and Institutional Power. Topics of discussion will concern the interplay between the legal profession, the rule of law, separation of powers, and threats to human rights. This conversation will benefit from international perspectives, aimed at fostering a comparative dialogue about the rule of law and government operation. The symposium will consist of two keynotes and three panels.
Keynote 1: This keynote will open the symposium, introducing topics such as the rule of law, separation of powers, and the legal profession's role in upholding the rule of law.
Panel 1: Executive Authority Across Borders: Power, Orders, and Oversight
Panel 2: The Global Bench: Influence, Legitimacy, and Independence
Panel 3: Making the Law: Institutions, Procedures, and Authority
Keynote 2: This keynote will close the symposium and address non-adherence to the rule of law and threats to individual rights.
Additionally, should you be interested, we will consider your scholarship for publication in a subsequent issue of our Journal.
Please direct interest in speaking and/or potential publication to the Executive Director of Symposia and Outreach, Jordan Smith, directly at jesmith@law.cwsl.edu
Kind regards,
Jordan Smith Executive Director of Symposia and Outreach
