Albany Law Review is accepting submissions for its Miscarriages of Justice issue, a special interdisciplinary issue seeking to integrate legal scholarship with social science and policy perspectives.  Submissions will be accepted from professors and practitioners.

This year's theme is Criminalization and Rights of "The Other": Examining the Legal Challenges of Those Outside the Social Norm

Scholarship should explore the laws and procedures that federal and state governments have recently created and modified.  Examples of subjects include, but are not limited to (1) policies surrounding gender-affirming care; (2) environmental policies and injustices; (3) criminalization of abortion post-Dobbs; (4) restrictions on speech, especially with regard to censorship in education; and (5) criminalization of social movements.

Interested authors should submit their articles via Scholastica.  Questions may be directed to Meg Tylenda, Executive Editor for Miscarriages of Justice, at mtylenda@albanylaw.edu.  Articles will be reviewed on a rolling basis until all spots are filled.
